Très Chic

Très chic - Cristina Warner

If there’s a city that is, and will always be, a reference in fashion worldwide, it’s Paris. Elegance, beauty, modernism and style are some of the concepts that stand out the most in Parisian women who undoubtedly dazzle with their fascinating looks. If you want to give a chic touch to your wardrobe and dress in the purest French style but without losing your personal flair, take note.

Sobriety is one of the features of Parisian wardrobes, where you’ll find different color palettes and no prints. I was able to study the French style well while I lived there and found that the dominant colors are neutral and soft (like beige or cream), not to mention sober (with a beautiful pearl gray) or the elegance of the eternal and indispensable black, a basic in anyone’s wardrobe and always helpful.

On the other hand, remember that clothes should be in solid colors for the most part. Parisians don’t usually go for looks with loud prints, but rather for clothes that can be combined in different ways and for any occasion. However, something that’s always present in Parisian fashion is the sailor stripe which, combined with any simple garment, will make you look fantastic (this is my proposal for today). Another classic is the cigarette (or dress) pants, a pencil or tube skirt, a white top or a simple blouse in neutral colors and a dress above the knee. Nothing better than a trench coat and a beret or a nice hat to complement your look made in France. These tips will help you achieve a completely Parisian look. Don’t forget the basic rules: neutrality, simplicity, elegance and naturalness. And remember, it’s not what you wear, but rather how you wear it. Feel comfortable with the clothes you choose and wear them daily. You’ll feel like an authentic Parisian. Très chic!

With love,
C.
